After 2 fun-filled years hosting a string of sell-out shows around Sheffield, we’re excited to finally be spreading our wings over to our favourite club in Leeds, Wire. To celebrate the occasion, we’re bringing man of the moment, Bellaire Music, for an extended set.
The 19-year old Frenchman has had an incredible past 12 months following the release of his debut EP ‘Paris City Jazz’, leading to sold out shows in Paris, London, Berlin, Hamburg and more. With a background in classical music, he started his career with hip-hop productions which ultimately led to his heavily Jazz-influenced House & Disco signature sound, receiving support from the likes of Detroit Swindle, Jeremy Underground, DJ Seinfeld and St. Germain.
For those new to La Rumba, we’ve been throwing globally-inspired multi-genre events around Sheffield for over 2 years now. Previous guests include: Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, Romare, Pangaea, Auntie Flo, Melé, O’Flynn, Esa, Afriquoi, Adesse Versions, Krywald & Farrer + much more. Since then, we’ve been invited to play on lineups featuring the likes of Detroit Swindle, Alexander Nut, Chaos ITCBD, KOG & The Zongo Brigade and a special invitation to Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here Festival 2019.We’re keeping tickets mega cheap for this one, don’t miss your chance to catch Bellaire & a taste of what we’ve got in store for you soon.
