We’re kicking off the academic term with a showcase of possibly the UK’s most forward-thinking techno label: Timedance.

Label head Batu_music is one of the big boys of bass-influenced techno, recently signing to XL Recordings and playing a Dekmantel Selectors set in 2018 that quickly garnered legendary status.
Though she hasn’t released on Timedance, Danielle is an essential part of their crew. She is very much a DJ’s DJ, having been a staff member at Phonica Records in London for several years, a regular on NTS Radio and a resident at Timedance parties in her hometown of Bristol. Expect leftfield, electro, new-wave, EBM, UK techno and more.
Chekov is Leeds’ finest export of recent years. He caught the attention of the scene when Pearson Sound dropped an unreleased Stasis 313 at Dekmantel, later released on Timedance’s brilliant Patina Echoes compilation. He has since had releases on Cong Burn and Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs.
